The City of Galveston recently awarded the project to Moody Gardens and negotiations are underway to finalize Moody Garden's role as manager of the facility. Touchstone will provide a broad range of advisory services over a 2-year period to provide Moody Gardens with certain expertise and resources to help facilitate the successful restoration of the golf course. Touchstone will initially assist Moody Gardens in developing terms to be presented to the City of Galveston to finalize the management arrangement between the City and Moody Gardens organization. "Galveston Municipal is one of the best golf course layouts in the State of Texas and we are very pleased to help with this project and bring the golf course to a whole new level of quality for the benefit of citizens and visitors alike," notes Touchstone Executive Vice President, Doug Harker. The Galveston Municipal project will be benchmarked against top municipal facilities in the Texas golf market to insure that it remains a first-class municipal facility. Golf course architects Jacobsen-Hardy are in process of redesigning various features and golf holes as part of the overall restoration. The golf course which will be closed in early 2007 is expected to re-open in spring of 2008. Touchstone Golf, LLC provides comprehensive management and targeted consulting resources for the golf course industry. The Company was formed in early 2005 and currently provides full services management for three facilities, Avery Ranch Golf Club (Austin, Texas), Painted Dunes Desert Golf Course (El Paso, Texas) and Lake Shastina Resort and Golf Club (Weed, California).
