Position Type: Full‑Time

Overview:
Touchstone Golf is seeking a highly capable and experienced General Manager to oversee all operational and fiscal aspects of Redwood Canyon Golf Course. The GM will lead all departments and ensure alignment with company policies, member service standards, and financial goals.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Oversee and direct all key departments: Agronomy, Golf Operations, Food & Beverage, Pool, Membership Sales and Marketing.
  • Build a high-performance, cohesive team; recruit, train, develop, coach and recognize staff while sustaining positive morale.
  • Ensure proper accounting practices including daily cash handling and deposits.
  • Monitor financial performance versus budget and manage KPIs.
  • Develop and execute the annual business plan, marketing strategies, and budget.
  • Create capital improvement proposals with ROI analysis to enhance member experience.
  • Ensure top-tier service quality across all departments with focus on member satisfaction.
  • Maintain facility assets, including equipment and infrastructure; ensure safety and security procedures.
  • Manage complimentary play policy and daily tracking protocols.
  • Communicate effectively with staff, ownership, vendors, and Touchstone corporate support.
  • Conduct weekly department head meetings and individual follow-ups to meet business objectives.
  • Manage labor scheduling across departments to meet service standards and operational goals.
  • Conduct weekly facility tours with the Superintendent to monitor course conditions and project status.
  • Ensure safety compliance; lead quarterly staff safety meetings and conduct safety audits.
  • Provide inspirational leadership in line with Touchstone’s mission and culture.
  • Support visits and coordination with regional Sales and Operations managers.
  • Track inventory of personal property and ensure adherence to company policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to frequently sit, stand, bend, kneel, walk, crouch.
  • Capable of lifting up to 30 lbs., including overhead lifting and push/pull tasks.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a General Manager role or similar leadership position.
  • PGA or LPGA certification is a plus, but not required.

Compensation:
Salary range: $75,000–$85,000 per year plus bonus potential.

Riverwalk Golf Club, a premier golf destination in San Diego, is looking for a rockstar Director of Sales to take the lead on selling and coordinating amazing events—think golf tournaments, weddings, corporate outings, and celebrations of all kinds. Essential Job Functions:

  • Lead event sales for golf outings, weddings, business events, and more.
  • Make at least 50 outgoing calls weekly to build relationships and book events.
  • Partner with hotels, planners, and local businesses to drive new business.
  • Conduct client property tours to bring event visions to life.
  • Track leads and activities in the CRM.
  • Participate in weekly sales meetings with the GM to strategize and review progress.
  • Deliver exceptional service before, during, and after each event.

Marketing & Outreach Responsibilities:

  • Assist in executing the annual sales & marketing plan.
  • Represent Riverwalk at bridal shows, expos, and community events.
  • Create and run engaging email and social media campaigns.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of sales experience in hospitality, events, or venue management.
  • Excellent communication skills—phone, email, and in person.
  • Highly organized, proactive, and able to work independently or in a team.
  • Familiarity with the San Diego hospitality industry is a plus.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, CRM systems, and digital tools.
  • Passion for people, events, and golf.

Compensation:
Salary plus commission structure, with the potential to earn $110,000–$140,000+ annually. Includes participation in company-sponsored medical, dental, and vision insurance programs, paid vacation, and holidays per company policy.

Position Summary:

This position is responsible for the development and implementation of sales strategies, plans, and programs primarily designed to increase catering events, maximize revenues, plan and assist in implementing social events for our membership and promote a positive image of the facility. Responsibilities include the implementation of various strategies including direct and/or telephone sales, direct marketing communications, advertising, special event promotions and community & member relations, etc. Responsibilities also include creation and publication of the club’s marketing collateral through all relevant medias including print, html, email and social media platforms, conducting periodic market research to provide information essential for revising current collateral, which enhance the Company competitiveness in the marketplace, as well as for fiscal and operational analysis as appropriate. Maximize the club’s profitability from the catering sales, while assisting in event execution and coordination.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Effectively sell catering events, including but not limited to (Weddings, Social Events, School Events, Corporate Meetings, Fundraisers, and Trainings) at a level to meet or exceed the budgeted requirements.

• Assist and coordinate the sale of golf outing and tournament – based events in which food and beverage is included

• Build relationships with hotels, convention contacts, special event groups, wedding organizations, civic organizations, etc. to promote special events.

• Develop and organize all group events, special events, member social events and manage communication between departments to help ensure coordination of activities.

• Maintain positive relationships and communicate clearly, tactfully, and persuasively with employees, customers and outside contacts as applicable.

• Ensure that all employees, especially customer contact personnel, fully understand all pertinent details in order to maximize customer satisfaction.

• Monitor facility activities and make recommendations to improve customer service and/or operational efficiencies.

• Maintain knowledge of current and projected industry developments through continuous attention to marketing and wedding periodicals and participation in relevant trade organizations.

• Works with the Chef and others to schedule/coordinate personnel requirements for private functions

• Develops detailed plans for each catered event at the facility.

• Assists in the preparation of the marketing plan to increase the profitability of the banquet operation; monitors performance against budgets.

• Creates and facilitates banquet event orders (BEO) for group outings as well as non-member catered events

• Develops social media strategies and assists in implementation

• Monitors sales goals to budget and in conjunction with General Manager and Food and Beverage Director develops strategies to achieve budgeted goals

• Assure the efficient and timely submission of all banquet sales reports as required by club

• Completes monthly marketing Snapshot

• Perform other duties as appropriate and directed by management.


Requirements

Education/Qualifications/Certifications:

• Positive attitude, professional manner and appearance in all situations.

• BA or BS degree preferred.

• 3 years applicable sales and management experience, preferably in the golf, wedding or hospitality industry.

• Demonstrated experience and capability in the areas of budget development, fiscal management, strategic planning, staff management and sales.

• Demonstrated quality written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

• Ability to analyze and solve problems; efficiently handle multiple duties under pressure with minimal supervision; work flexible hours as required including nights/weekends/holidays.
