    Property Assessment

    Touchstone’s popular Opportunity Assessment is used when an owner, or prospective owner, needs an overview of the golf course, its market position, Strengths/Weaknesses/Opportunities/ Threats ("SWOT"), and recommendations on a strategic plan for the golf course. Our assessment includes preparation of a pro-forma operating statement based on our strategic recommendations for the property.

    Our report provides easy-to-implement, department by department recommendations for improvement, and encompasses demographic analysis, staff structure and performance evaluation, marketing and sales analysis, and golf course maintenance and review assessment.

    Opportunity Assessments can be done with our without a pre-determined strategic direction, and can be prepared in a limited or regular documentation format based on budgetary considerations.

    Touchstone Golf draws in its extensive experience managing hundreds of golf courses in every major market across the country to create appropriate benchmarks for facility performance and operations. This includes determining appropriate rounds and average green fee levels, annual goals for tournaments and banquets, food and beverage targets, as well as payroll and expense comparisons between like facilities.

    Benchmarking information is presented in a manner to clearly and accurately detail the performance against other similar properties. In addition a variance analysis indicating where the golf course is under-performing or over-performing relative to the industry is presented for comparison.
